County Councillors have today confirmed a new primary school meal price of £2.10 per day compared to the existing £2.00 to apply from September 2010. The decision will be confirmed following satisfactory completion of the appropriate call in period. Councillors are only too aware of the pressures on family budgets due to the rapidly rising prices of basic commodities and have therefore retained the sibling discount which means that there will be a lesser charge for a second or subsequent child having a meal at the same school of £1.90.
